A global leader in IT services and products is going through a period of expansion and require a Technical Solutions Architect to deliver infrastructure design activities across the companies customer base in a customer facing role. This is also an opportunity to move into a Solutions Architect role if you come from a strong wintel / unix support, networking, Virtualisation or storage background in a support function.
As a Technical Solutions Architect you will deliver services orientated around customers interface, infrastructure design across all levels and technical specification services through to implementation of infrastructure solutions.
Therefore as a technical Solutions Architect you will have skills in technologies with at least two of the following areas:

Experience of delivering solutions covering some of the following technologies: Windows server & desktop, Unix / Linux, Virtualisation - Citrix/VMWARE etc, Entreprise Management
At least 1 of the following: Enterprise Storage, Backup, RDBMS, Disaster Recovery Solutions, EMC, Symantec, Clariion / Symmetrix, HP Data Protector and/or Data compression and replication

Generally you will ideally have come from a background were the following technologies are in place and you have some experience with:

RDBMS - Oracle, MS SQL Server etc
Messaging technologies
IP Networking
ITIL Framework
