Desktop 2nd Line Microsoft IT Infrastructure Support Engineer (Microsoft Windows Active Directory, Outlook, Vista, Office, TCP/IP) required by my client in Frankfurt. You MUST have the following experience:- 2+ years' experience in providing IT helpdesk and desktop support - Microsoft Active Directory- user administration and Group Policies- MS Exchange 2007- setting up new users, mail groups and archiving- Microsoft Office/XP/Vista- PC, laptop, printer hardware support- Blackberry support- TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP networking, including some exposure to routing and switching- Remote desktop support- Fluent spoken and written GERMANThe following would be DESIRABLE:- WSUS- Symantec Veritas Backup Exec- Citrix- Cisco Routers, Switches and Firewalls- SQL Server- Microsoft Certifications (MCP, MCSA, MCDST, MCSE, MCITP)Role: You will be the sole point of contact for local desktop support issues. You will receive technical escalations from the helpdesk for issues on Microsoft XP, Vista, Active Directory and desktop, printer and laptop hardware. You will provide some remote support to other offices in Germany. You will escalate advanced server issues to the centralised IT department in London. You will be encouraged to develop your technical knowledge and trained in Microsoft, Cisco, VMware and Citrix certifications. You will be encouraged to take on more responsibility and provide support to other offices in Europe such as Sweden and Poland. You will be:- Excellent in communicating with technical and non-technical users- Ambitious to progress and develop your knowledge- A team playerYou MUST speak and write FLUENT GERMAN in order to apply for this role.This role will be contract to permanent or straight permanent.Contact rates are negotiable.
