The 3G SYSTEM SIMULATION SOFTWARE ENGINEER will help support the continued SW code development and maintenance of a system testing suite for validating protocol stack software.If you have the skills detailed below and like the look of the spec, please do not hesitate to get in touch.Key responsibilities of the 3G System Simulation Software Engineer;- System analysis and debugging- Design, coding, maintenance and enhancements of simulator SW framework and automated SW test processes- Responsible for ensuring that reports of defects are investigated and fixed.- Responsible for maintaining the quality and architectural coherence of SW simulator components as it evolves, over its complete lifetime.- Interaction with developers on technical solutions.- Writing and maintaining SW documentation Requirements/Qualifications:- 3+ years of working in a communications environment.- Experience in implementation and testing of SW for large projects- Preferably knowledge of 2G/3G communications systems.- Candidate must have good knowledge of the software development life cycle including requirements gathering, analysis, detailed design, coding and verification.- Experience in general SW development tools: Version control system (preferably Rational ClearCase), build control systems (gmake, Visual Studio)- Experienced in C coding for Embedded systems and Microsoft windows environment- Experience in Perl language.- Preferred knowledge in XML, DTD, XML Schema, HTML, HTML stylesheet, JavaScript, DOM, SAX, Xerces.- Strong interpersonal and team working skills.- Strong problem-solving skills.
