PRODUCTION MANAGERS - NORTHWEST ENGLAND - UK

Production Managers - Northwest England. Our client seeks to recruit Production Managers for their plant in Northwest England. In these roles you will be responsible for overall production within the plant. Main Duties & Responsibilities: 1. Management and supervision of all production activities to ensure Quality Standards are achieved and Plant is optimised. 2. Read and understand the company safety policy statement and ensure that this policy is adhered to. 3. Ensure that: Appropriate precautions are taken by the maintenance personnel to ensure the safety of machinery and plant during repair, installation and when in production 4. Comfortable working conditions are maintained for employees. 5. Machinery is installed, worked and maintained to UK/EU standard requirements. 6. Liase with the safety officer and the shift Managers / supervisors to ensure that all relevant safety maintenance issues are addressed. Monitor and measure accidents and Health & Safety performance. - Attend and chair in Plant Managers absence, Senior Management, quarterly audit and Health & Safety meetings. - Assist Plant Manager in preparation and execution of emergency plan. 7. Monitoring of Quality System and Standards. 8. Production Planning to maximise production of Quality Product and minimise quality complaints. 9. Preventative maintenance of equipment and plant, to minimise Production Downtime. 10. Waste management to minimise waste in the production process. 11. Establish and promote a Quality Culture throughout the Production Process. 12. Establish Production and Quality targets. 13. Training of all relevant staff to achieve Quality Standards, and provide effective coaching to Shift Management direct reports. 14. Recruitment of staff in line with Personnel policies and procedures. 15. Responsible for ensuring that ISO 14001 environmental standard is communicated to the relevant personnel as appropriate. Interested applicants should have minimum of 2-5 years experience of managing large teams in a production environment, preferably in the glass bottling industry , with a good appreciation of H&S, training, efficiencies etc.
