Our client, a well renown housing developer, require a buyer/supply chain manager to join the team reporting into the Group Procurement Director in the Caterham, Surrey. The Role Managing procurement projects and categories as directed by the Group Procurement Director primarily for the Housing Division, delivering cost savings, improved service and added value. Evaluating new products ands services Acting as liaison between Group Procurement Director, the supply chain and internal stakeholders Managing trading relationships with supply chain Establishing processes that ensure trading agreements deliver their full benefits Managing reporting regimes and interpreting report data Rebate claims and reporting. Skills Able to analyse large amounts of complex information and produce coherent summaries, analysis, options, recommendations and conclusions Able to establish processes that maximise supply chain performance Good admin skills with ability to constantly review priorities while achieve objectives in appropriate time scales Sound commercial acumen Good negotiation skills A questioning approach to the status quo A tactful yet assertive persuader and influencer The ability to make things happen and drive change Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent IT skills Qualification and experience HNC or equivalent in relevant discipline preferred Held Senior Procurement role Experience of "group" procurement as well as operational procurement Excellent Knowledge of construction processes particularly housing Supply Chain market knowledge Competitive Salary and benefits package including car/allowance, holidays, pension, healthcare and bonus.
